Sometimes I wonder if “eco-friendly” individuals are really that-friendly to the natural environment. This article is an excellent example of not supporting the natural environments of the world. By encouraging importation of bamboo and other invasive species to areas in which they are not native, you are actually irreparably harming the native flora and fauna of the area. Quite literally, even one bamboo plant located outside of a domesticated/agricultural area can do irreparable damage. Support locally grown goods that are native!
